In a microwave-safe bowl, combine vinegar, butter, garlic, salt and pepper; microwave, covered, on high until butter is melted, 30-45 seconds. Whisk to combine.

Toss onions in the mixture and place on the grill. Turning occasionally, until they begin to brown, about 5 minutes.
TIP
Put the onions on a kabob with your other favorite vegetables and brush on the butter mixture.
