We purchased a new 2012 Sea Ray 450 Sedan Bridge with a Kenyon Grill installed in the cockpit wet bar. We’ve had no previous experience with the Kenyon grills, so we didn’t realized what an amazing product this was until we began to use it. We grill every weekend, it is simply the best grill we have every cooked on. Cleaning this simple design is extremely easy and quick. When we purchased the boat at the Sea Ray Yacht Expo Merritt Island, FL, Kenyon had a display booth at the Expo, unfortunately we were so busy shopping for new boat we neglected to visit the booth and understand the Kenyon products. Just installed our Kenyon grill on the deck in a housing by IBD Outdoor Rooms. Our first meal on my Kenyon grill was wonderful. If you are ever looking for a great electric grill, the Kenyon is where to go.
I have lived in New York City for 15 years. I’ve had grill envy for a good 10 of those. While I love NYC there are a few things that you really miss as an avid cook. A backyard garden, counter space and the ability to grill.
When I saw an editorial touting the Kenyon city grill, my wife and I talked about it for weeks. It was an investment in our cooking future.
When I first got it, I was a little worried if it was going to be hot enough. My first few rounds didn’t hit the mark for that charred, seared in flavor. After getting the hang of it though, this thing is amazing. I’ve done chicken, kabobs, skirt steak, pork chops, fish, asparagus, scallions, red peppers, corn…. so far there hasn’t been anything the city grill couldn’t handle.
It’s nearly smokeless (depending on your marinade sometimes there’s more smoke) and easy to clean up. The top plate sears in flavor and it doesn’t heat my kitchen up in the summer.
Since I received my grill I have used it 4-5 times a week. It has surpassed my expectations.

Hot Dog Stockings
Diagonally cut out 1 inch of the center of the hotdog facing inward then form the shape of a stocking on the skewer, placing multiple stockings on one skewer. Garnish with herbed or plain cream cheese to trim off the top.
Bacon Wrapped Scallops
Pre-grill bacon then wrap around the scallop. Hold the bacon in place on the scallops with toothpicks. Grill until desired sear marks are achieved.
Sweet and Tangy Turkey Meatballs
Combine ground turkey meat, breadcrumbs, milk, egg, dried mustard, S&P. Place on grill and cook for 15 minutes, turning over once. Click here for the recipe.
For the sweet and tangy sauce, place 1 bottle of chili sauce in a medium pan and add a can of cranberry sauce. Cook over medium heat stirring occasionally until the sauces perfectly blend together. Cover the meatballs with the sauce or set aside in a bowl for dipping.
